The ZWO ASI662MM is a next-generation monochrome astronomy camera designed for high-resolution planetary, lunar, and solar imaging. Built around the advanced Sony IMX662 STARVIS 2 CMOS sensor, it delivers outstanding sensitivity, very low noise, and excellent near-infrared response.
With a 2.07MP resolution (1920×1080) and 2.9µm pixel size, the ASI662MM is optimized for high-speed “lucky imaging,” capturing fine planetary details by stacking thousands of short exposures. It supports ultra-fast capture speeds up to 107.6 FPS, making it ideal for freezing atmospheric turbulence.
The camera features USB 3.0 high-speed transfer, a 256MB DDR3 buffer, and extremely low read noise (~0.8e), ensuring smooth, stable, and clean data acquisition even at high frame rates. Its monochrome design provides maximum sensitivity and flexibility when used with LRGB or narrowband filters.
