DWARFLAB Draco Smart Telescope (SHO Edition)
₨1.00
DWARFLAB Draco SHO is a 90mm high-end smart telescope designed for advanced deep-sky astrophotography, especially narrowband and SHO (Hubble Palette) imaging. It combines a 90mm f/3.8 optical system, 50.33MP telephoto camera, automated guiding, field derotation and built-in dual-narrowband filters for automated Hα, O III and S II imaging.
Product Description
The DWARFLAB Draco SHO Edition is an advanced all-in-one smart telescope designed for serious deep-sky astrophotography while maintaining the convenience of a portable automated system.
Its 90mm aperture, 340mm focal length and f/3.8 optical system provide strong light-gathering capability for capturing galaxies, nebulae and star clusters. The telephoto imaging system uses a 1/1.3-inch 50.33MP sensor, while Draco’s automated guiding and field-derotation system are designed to support long-exposure imaging of up to 300 seconds per frame.
The main advantage of the SHO Edition is its advanced built-in narrowband filter system. In addition to the Astronomy filter and Hα + O III dual-narrowband filter, the SHO version adds an S II + O III dual-narrowband filter. Draco can automatically capture Hα, O III and S II data in sequence, then separate, map and combine the channels to produce the characteristic blue-and-gold Hubble Palette appearance with minimal manual intervention.
The Hα + O III filter targets Hα at 656.3nm and O III at 500.7nm, while the S II + O III filter targets S II at 671.6nm and O III at 500.7nm, with a stated bandwidth of approximately 13 ± 3nm. This makes the SHO Edition particularly well suited to emission nebulae and narrowband astrophotography.
Unlike the Standard Edition, the SHO Edition uses an external magnetic ND filter for solar imaging rather than a built-in ND filter. The filter must be attached before solar imaging, after which Draco can automatically handle the remaining imaging process.
Draco can also operate in Equatorial Mode, providing a more stable configuration for long exposures and multi-frame stacking without requiring a separate equatorial mount. It supports scheduled shooting, automated target acquisition, tracking, Astro Mosaic and remote control through DWARFLAB’s app and PhotonLink service.
