The ZWO FF65 APO is a premium 65mm quintuplet flat-field apochromatic refractor telescope designed for high-end astrophotography. With a built-in field-flattening optical system and 416mm focal length, it delivers sharp, distortion-free wide-field images without requiring an external flattener.

Description

Product Description

The ZWO FF65 APO is a high-performance 65mm quintuplet refractor telescope designed specifically for modern astrophotography workflows. Unlike traditional refractors, its advanced self-flattening optical design eliminates the need for an external field flattener or complex back-focus calculations.

Its 65mm aperture and 416mm focal length (f/6.4) make it ideal for wide-field deep-sky imaging, capturing large nebulae, star clusters, and Milky Way regions with excellent clarity. The integrated optical design uses multiple ED elements to minimize chromatic aberration, producing sharp stars across a full-frame imaging circle.

The FF65 is optimized for modern CMOS astronomy cameras and supports large sensors, making it highly suitable for portable imaging rigs and advanced astrophotography setups. Its precision 2.5″ focuser with 360° rotation ensures stable framing and accurate focus control during long imaging sessions.

This telescope is widely used in compact astrophotography systems due to its “plug-and-play” optical design and excellent star field flatness across the entire image plane.
